Provider Training & Continuing Education

We built OutPsych to be the practice we needed when we were the patient.

Then we realized there weren't enough providers to send people to.

So we started training them.

Find your starting point

We teach what we practice: psychopharmacology, chronic illness, neurodivergence and gender-affirming care. Our trans-affirming courses live under My Gender IQ, and everything here is built by the clinicians who treat patients at OutPsych.

If you want to do this work, or do it better, start here.

Where are you starting from?

Pick one and we'll hand you three things, in order.

    Topic

We started OutPsych because our communities deserved better care. We started training providers because our communities deserve more of it.

If you're here, you already care. Let us help you get good at this.

    Before you buy

    Do the courses include CE?

Most do, and the hours are on each card. CE comes through Pinnacle Conference, LLC, which is jointly accredited by ACCME, ACPE and ANCC. Physicians get AMA PRA Category 1, nurses and NPs get ANCC contact hours, PAs get AAPA Category 1, social workers get ASWB ACE, psychologists get APA credit, and pharmacists, dietitians, dentists and athletic trainers get credit too. Counselors and everyone else get an AMA PRA Category 1 participation certificate, so check what your board accepts. A few lessons don't carry APA or ASWB credit, so psychologists and social workers may earn slightly fewer hours than the card shows. To claim it, you finish short pre- and post-assessments and a survey. Credit is available through August 14, 2028.

    Can I pay over time?

Yes. Nearly every course has a monthly plan, and Transcend can be spread over 12 or 24 months. The monthly price is on each card, so there's no math at checkout.

How long do I keep access?

Most courses and toolkits are yours for life, and the toolkits include a year of updates. A few courses have a set access window, and it's listed on the checkout page.

Is this only about gender-affirming care?

Mostly. But our patients don't arrive one diagnosis at a time, so there's chronic illness, neurodivergence, eating disorders and psych meds in here too. Psych Meds & the Therapist's Role is for any therapist who refers clients for medication.

    Who teaches this?

Jess Romeo, PMHNP-BC, MSW, founder of OutPsych, with 15 other faculty, including Rebecca Minor, Aery Maxwell, LCSW-C, and Tesiah Coleman. Janine Michaelson, PMHNP-BC, leads Psych Meds & the Therapist's Role.
